Burroughs Wellcome Fund (BWF)

An independent private foundation established to advance the medical sciences by supporting research and other scientific and educational activities. Its emphasis is on the career development of biomedical scientists and on advancing areas in the basic medical sciences that are underfunded or that have a shortage of qualified researchers.

Dreyfus Foundation

Fellowship program designed to attract talented Ph.D. recipients to careers in the chemical sciences in undergraduate colleges and universities, and to recognize outstanding research accomplishments by faculty from predominantly undergraduate institutions.
